    Alternative models

I was wondering what people were looking at for alternative models for the Path. To allow me to get started as soon as possible for the Beta testing as soon as the rules land I have picked up the Frostgrave soldiers. But I would like some hero's so what ideas do you guys have

I've looked at a few. I think Reaper miniatures might have some that would work, either from their regular range, or more specifically the Crusaders range.

Either that or there's Dark Sword miniatures, which again do a good range of fantasy stuff.

Though my favourite is the Aenglish range from Red Box Games, though they tend to be a bit finer in terms of scale (if you check out the show-off thread, Paul posted a picture comparing them to some of the other ranges). I also think they've got some really good miniatures for henchmen as well

There's a couple more as well.

Heresy do some stuff that might be suitable.

    As do Hasslefree.

Also if you can get your hands on any of the old Hell Dorado Westerner miniatures, some of them might fit the bill, or the old Confrontation miniatures for either the Lions of Alahan or the Griffon factions, they might work, though they're going to involve trawling ebay etc.

Thanks some good links .... I have been getting overly excited about Red Box. Seems difficult to find them in stock in the UK

Hasslefree stock a pretty good range of them. Some of the older moulds they bought outright, and have incorporated into their various ranges, fantasy humans etc.

The newer Red Box stuff is stocked under their Artemis Black section on the website.

With miniatures sculpted by Dark Sword miniatures, the CMON game A Song of Ice & Fire seems to have a lot of interesting alternative models, would it be for the Path or the others non Druggoi factions.

The models are the only reason I'm currently backing Ice & Fire... specifically the non-battlefield figures, for use in Fabled Realms as civilians.

The miniatures are nice, but I don't think I need that many figures, and I'm not entirely sold on the game despite the game of thrones link. They do look good as stand ins for things though.

I know what you mean. I like the models and I'm backing for now, but may well drop it and save the money for the FR pledge manager instead
