    Off to the Eastern Front

    Hi guys,
So having just finished the first wave of Broggenbridge and Teuden Defences for Fabled Realms the bosses have decided to keep me on the Slavic/Russian theme by deploying me to the Eastern Front, specifically 1940's Stalingrad and Leningrad.

The plan is to make a series of ruined building pieces that will fit together Daldorr-style for multiple combinations of buildings. These are the first bases for the buildings.

    What scale will these be?

I've always wanted to build a Stalingrad table and have some bits from various companies which I've collected over the years. As with many projects, since buying them, they have sat in a box 'for later'. I'll be following this with interest and it might inspire me to open that box again, or my wallet of course.

    Hi Paul Richardson,
Yep definitely an issue as now it's disappeared entirely so I can't edit it!!
I'm on holiday for a week but will re-post the images when I'm back on the 21st.
    Hi Stu's Idle,
These are 28mm scale and will go in our World At War range. To get a basic idea of scale from the above photos, the squares on the template bases are 12.5mm by 12.5mm. So 4 squares would be covered by a 25mm base. Where there are gaps there will be walls and where there are small double lines there will be doors.

This looks promising... I will be interested to see the vertical element to this, especially how many floors there are. Is the intention to be able to be able to build huge mult-story (warehouse / apartment block) type structures, or 'just' single / double-story ruined walls?

For this sort of thing the problem with lasr cut MDF is how thin it is so I imagine they will be layered in some clever way to overcome this.

    Hi SableFox
Yes, the idea is to be able to make lots of differently sized and shaped multi-storey apartment blocks, I've currently planned out 16 different building combinations. They will range from ground floor up to 4 floors.
Here are the original photos again of the first prototypes.

And here are the current prototype pieces together to show off some ways to put the buildings together.

Working on the first staircase section next and then on to the first straight wall, both with main entrances. There will be 14 different pieces for the apartments and then I might get a chance to work on some feature buildings.
