My Mordanburg collection (and all my other 4Ground things).

Here is my current collection of 4Ground buildings and wagons.

My new terrain mat from playmats.eu arrived, this is the double sided latex paved plaza / city streets.

The city street side is up.

I still need to get some more high street and back street buildings to fill out the mat nicely.

And one day I will get the Stoic Arms and City Watchtower.

Next I think I need to order a larger city 6 x 4 city mat.

Check out this mat from gamemat.eu
    It's called Forgotten Realm.
You can also get it double sided with I grassy / rocky plains on the otherside.
I dont have any of the Fryburgh stuff, but maybe the round fort would fit nicely in the circular section of the road.

I'd imagine one with just a central "mud" road might work (got to keep that frontier look going), now none do such a map. However I've noticed these http://www.tinywargames.co.uk/ that do a plain mat and then cut out roads and other elements to place on your mat http://www.tinywargames.co.uk/railwaysrivers

Maybe this might help in your quest for the Fyrburgh Fort

Edit: then again on the other front, as you have a building that basically covers a mat. Have you thought about getting a plain grass/snow mat and then layering in the roads/muddy area inside the fort with fabric paints to create a custom mat that exactly fits the footprint of the fort itself?

    Hi Ben
I looked on the site for the mats and could not find anything with the name (paved plaza / city streets) was this a special order. I can find a couple of plaza like mats and the city streets which looks like just a sheet of cobbel stones, is that correct?

    Thanks William

That looks fantastic! Have you thought about trying the 4ground shingles? Obviously more money out of your pocket, but the difference they make on the buildings is amazing! I can't recommend them enough.
